Halloween in South Africa with #Linky

Welcome to my Picture Perfect
Party Linky #166!

We don't celebrate Halloween in South Africa like in the States. There are no trick-or-treaters or special Halloween candy for sale at the shops. In fact, a lot of people probably didn't even know it was Halloween this past Saturday, but we still had a lot of good fun.

The morning began with our favorite once-a-year church bazaar falling on the same day. Many traditional churches in South Africa host a bazaar once a year and this one is usually quite nice. The face painting was the highlight for Samantha and Amanda. Samantha chose a Cheshire cat design and Amanda an owl.

Since there isn't any trick-or-treating here, Amanda asked if I could hide our Halloween candy in the garden, like an Easter egg hunt. That was a lot of fun for her.

The two big sisters had a Halloween party to attend in the evening. Jessica was a vampire. I better add that she is still a bit taller than Samantha, but the ground was lower where she was standing, so Samantha looks taller.
